Pizza Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup smoked salmon sliced
  • 1/4 cup figs sliced
  • 1/4 cup jalapeños sliced
  • 1 tablespoon truffle oil

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F with a pizza stone inside. This ensures a crispy crust.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Add warm water and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it back in the bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • While the dough rises, prepare your toppings. Slice the smoked salmon, figs, and jalapeños. Shred the mozzarella cheese.
  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Spread the marinara sauce over the dough. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly, then add smoked salmon, figs, and jalapeños. Drizzle with truffle oil.
  • Transfer the pizza to the preheated stone and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing. Serve hot.
  • Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
