Ingredients
  

For the Salmon

  • 1 1/2 lb salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

For the Sweet and Spicy Sauce

  • 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce use low sodium if preferred
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce adjust to taste
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

For Serving

  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 2 green onions sliced, for garnish
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds optional garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season salmon with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook salmon until flaky. Remove and set aside.
  • Whisk together honey, soy sauce, chili garlic sauce, garlic, and rice vinegar.
  • Simmer the sauce in the skillet until slightly thickened.
  • Return salmon to the skillet and glaze with sauce.
  • Serve over rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and spice to taste. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
