  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Optional Toppings

  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese for topping
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder in a bowl until evenly combined.
  • Add Greek yogurt and stir until a soft dough forms.
  • Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth and cohesive.
  • Divide the dough into four equal pieces and shape each into a bagel.
  • Place bagels on the baking sheet. Brush with egg wash if using and add Parmesan or sesame seeds.
  • Bake until lightly golden and cooked through, then cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

If the dough is sticky, add a little flour while kneading. For a stronger herb flavor, add an extra pinch of Italian seasoning. Slice and freeze bagels for quick toasting on busy mornings.
