Lemon Mascarpone Filling

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, sugar, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture to create a light and fluffy filling.
  • Dip each ladyfinger into a mixture of lemon juice and water to moisten. Layer the bottom of each serving cup with soaked ladyfingers. Add a layer of the lemon mascarpone filling followed by a layer of lemon curd. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of mascarpone filling.
  • Cover the assembled cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the tiramisu to set properly.
  • Before serving, garnish each cup with a slice of fresh lemon or a sprinkle of lemon zest for an added touch of freshness. Serve chilled for the best flavor.
