Equipment

  • 1 9x9 inch baking dish for layering
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 Electric Mixer for beating

Ingredients

Mascarpone Mixture

  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream whipped
  • 1/4 cup limoncello

For Layering

  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cup limoncello
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar with an electric mixer until pale and creamy. Add mascarpone cheese and beat until smooth. Fold in whipped cream and limoncello.
  • In a shallow dish, combine limoncello and lemon juice. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the mixture, ensuring not to soak them completely.

Assembling the Tiramisu

  • Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  • Sprinkle the top with lemon zest for added flavor and decoration.

Chilling and Serving

  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Slice the chilled tiramisu into portions and serve. Enjoy the refreshing lemon flavor.

Storing

  • Cover and refrigerate any leftovers for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to a month.

Notes

Pro Tips: Ensure the mascarpone is at room temperature for easy mixing. Ingredient Substitutions: Use lemon syrup instead of limoncello for a non-alcoholic version. How to Serve: Garnish with extra lemon zest or fresh berries. Storage & Freshness: Best when chilled overnight. Make-Ahead Tips: Prepare a day in advance for enhanced flavors.
