Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

For the Sauce and Finish

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or cream alternative
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • fresh parsley or basil chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • Add butter to the skillet, then stir in the garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth and scrape the skillet to release browned bits.
  • Stir in cream and warm gently.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and stir until smooth.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer until coated in sauce.
  • Finish with fresh herbs and serve warm.

Notes

Use full fat cream for keto friendly results or replace with additional broth for a lighter sauce. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days.
