Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet
  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Baking dish
  • 1 Whisk

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 lb chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Mac and Cheese

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine honey and hot sauce. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and stir to coat. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add marinated chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Set aside.

Mac and Cheese

  • Boil macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk, allowing the mixture to thicken.
  • Reduce heat to low, stir in cheddar cheese, and add garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper. Stir until cheese melts and sauce is smooth.
  • Mix cooked pasta with cheese sauce. Transfer to a baking dish, top with cooked chicken, and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.

Serving

  • Spoon the mac and cheese into bowls, ensuring an even distribution of chicken pieces.

Storage

  • Transfer leftovers to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
