Preparation

  • Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the warm water and olive oil. Mix with a wooden spoon until a dough begins to form.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F and place the pizza stone inside to heat.
  • Punch down the risen dough to release air bubbles. Divide into portions and roll each portion into a round shape on a floured surface.
  • Transfer the shaped dough to the preheated pizza stone. Add your desired toppings, keeping them light to ensure even cooking.
  • Bake the pizza in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Serving

  • Let the pizza cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
