  • 1 basting brush for applying BBQ sauce

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 8 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil for grilling
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Optional Add-ons

  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Red pepper flakes

  • Sliced tomatoes

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine chicken slices with half of the BBQ sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  • Place the chicken slices on the grill. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing with additional BBQ sauce as needed.

Assembly

  • In a small pot, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat until warm.
  • Place grilled chicken on each Hawaiian roll. Top with warm marinara sauce, a slice of mozzarella, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
  • Place the assembled sliders back on the grill. Close the lid and let the cheese melt for about 2-3 minutes.

Serving

  • Remove sliders from the grill and serve immediately with your choice of sides.

Storage

  • Place any leftover sliders in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to three days.
