  • Parchment Paper
  • Knife or bench scraper

For the Bagel Dough

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Optional Toppings

  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • sesame seeds
  • everything seasoning
  • poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Add Greek yogurt and stir until a soft dough forms.
  • Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
  • Divide the dough into four equal pieces and shape each into a bagel.
  • Place bagels on the baking sheet. Brush with egg wash if using and add toppings.

Notes

Full fat Greek yogurt gives the best texture. If the dough feels sticky, add a little more flour. Slice and freeze bagels for easy toasting on busy mornings.
