Dough

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Garlic Herb White Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh oregano chopped

Toppings

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to the flour mixture along with olive oil. Knead until smooth and let it rise for 35 minutes.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in flour, then gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Add chopped herbs and simmer until thickened.
  • Preheat oven to 475°F. Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Spread the white sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
