Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet lightly greased
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 sauté pan

Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 1 lb pizza dough store-bought or homemade

Garlic Shrimp

  • 1 lb medium shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Toppings

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a sauté pan over medium heat, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Dough

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lightly greasing it. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet or pizza stone.

Assemble the Pizza

  • Brush the dough with olive oil. Evenly distribute the cooked shrimp over the dough, followed by the mozzarella cheese. Optionally, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for heat.

Bake the Pizza

  • Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.

Storage

  • Allow any leftover pizza to cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
