  • In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, and sugar. Add warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface until smooth.
  • Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 2 hours, until doubled in size.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F while the dough is rising.
  • Grease your cast iron skillet with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • Punch down the risen dough and roll it out to fit your skillet, allowing the edges to come up the sides.
  • Start by layering mozzarella cheese at the bottom to create a barrier for the sauce.
  • Evenly distribute pepperoni, bell peppers, and mushrooms over the cheese.
  • Spoon marinara sauce over the toppings and sprinkle with parmesan and oregano.
  • Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
