Equipment

  • 1 pizza stone or baking sheet
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 Large skillet

Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water 110°F
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Toppings

  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup mushrooms thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cheese and Sauce

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/2 cup Alfredo sauce

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit until frothy. Add yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour mixture. Knead until smooth. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant. Add spinach and mushrooms, cooking until spinach is wilted and mushrooms are tender. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat oven to 475°F. Roll out the risen dough on a floured surface to fit your pizza stone or baking sheet.
  • Spread Alfredo sauce over the rolled out dough. Evenly distribute ricotta cheese on top. Add sautéed spinach and mushrooms, followed by mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Place the pizza in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and browned.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice and serve warm.

Serving

  • Serve the pizza with a fresh salad or a side of roasted vegetables. Pair with a chilled white wine or sparkling water.

Storage

  • Store leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
