  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced

  • 1 lemon zested and juiced

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Mince the garlic, zest and juice the lemon, and grate the Parmesan cheese. Chop the parsley and set aside.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant but not browned, about 1 minute.
  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat with garlic oil. Stir in lemon zest and juice, Parmesan cheese, and reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated and the cheese is melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir in the chopped parsley and any optional add-ins like red pepper flakes or grilled meats.

Serving

  • Transfer the pasta to serving plates and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.

  • Place any leftover pasta in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
