Equipment

  • 1 pizza stone or baking sheet
  • 1 Rolling Pin
  • 1 oven preheated to 450°F

Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 1 lb pizza dough homemade or store-bought

Toppings

  • 1 medium zucchini thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Let the pizza dough rest at room temperature for about 20 minutes. Roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat up.
  • Thinly slice the zucchini and mince the garlic cloves. Shred the mozzarella cheese and grate the Parmesan cheese.
  • Brush the rolled-out dough with olive oil, then sprinkle the minced garlic evenly over the surface. Arrange the zucchini slices on top, followed by the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

Serving

  • Carefully place the pizza on the preheated stone or baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.

Storage

  • Store any leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
