- 1 lb ground beef lean preferred
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Mashed Potatoes
- 2 lb potatoes peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk warmed
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
Place peeled and cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add salt, bring to a boil, then simmer until fork tender.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until soft, then add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
Add ground beef to the skillet, break it apart, and cook until fully browned and cooked through.
