Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Beef Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef lean preferred
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning mild

Taco Sticks

  • 1 lb refrigerated dough pizza or crescent dough
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper so the taco sticks bake evenly and release easily.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook gently until soft and translucent, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
  • Add the ground beef and break it apart gently. Cook until fully browned and no pink remains.
  • Season the beef with mild taco seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly and cook a few more minutes so flavors blend.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the beef mixture to cool slightly before assembling the taco sticks.
  • Roll out the dough and cut into evenly sized rectangular strips so the taco sticks bake uniformly.
  • Place a spoonful of beef filling on each strip and top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges firmly to seal, forming long enclosed sticks.
  • Arrange the sticks seam side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden and the cheese inside is fully melted.
  • Let the taco sticks cool slightly before serving so the filling sets and is easier to eat.
