Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Knife or bench scraper

Ingredients

For the Bagel Dough

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup raisins

Optional Topping

  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon sugar for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl until evenly combined.
  • Add Greek yogurt and stir until a soft dough forms, then fold in the raisins.
  • Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
  • Divide the dough into four equal pieces and shape each into a bagel.
  • Place bagels on the baking sheet. Brush with egg wash if using and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  • Bake until lightly golden and cooked through, then cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

If the dough feels sticky, add a little flour while kneading. For softer raisins, soak them in warm water for five minutes and pat dry before mixing into the dough. Slice and freeze bagels for quick toasting on busy mornings.
