Ingredients
  

Sushi Rice

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Tuna and Marinade

  • 8 ounces sashimi-grade tuna cubed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice

Toppings

  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber sliced
  • 2 scallions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse 2 cups of sushi rice until water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions. Once done, let it cool slightly.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt. Fold into the cooked rice gently.

Marinate the Tuna

  • Cut 8 ounces of tuna into cubes. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, and lime juice. Toss the tuna in the marinade and let sit for at least 10 minutes.

Assemble the Bowl

  • Spoon sushi rice into bowls. Top with marinated tuna, avocado slices, cucumber, and scallions.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and add any additional toppings like nori strips or spicy mayo if desired.

Serve

  • Enjoy the tuna sushi bowl immediately for the freshest taste.
