Equipment

  • 1 pizza stone for a crispy crust
  • 1 Mixing Bowl large
  • 1 Baking Sheet

Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water

Bruschetta Topping

  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Pizza Toppings

  • 8 oz burrata cheese
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Stir in the olive oil and warm water until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 10 minutes until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Mix diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, and salt in a bowl. Let sit for 20 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Spread the bruschetta topping evenly over the dough, leaving a border for the crust. Tear the burrata and distribute evenly over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Once baked, drizzle balsamic glaze over the pizza and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

Serving

  • Slice the pizza into 8 pieces and serve warm. Enjoy with a side salad or your favorite wine.

Storage

  • Place any leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
